New Double-Sided Stones
DMT is an American made brand that has been making high quality diamond stones for decades. Their lineup features a large range of sizes, shapes and grits. We now have exciting new DMT double-sided stones that will increase that range. There are double-sided stones in formats that have previously only been single-sided, and expanded grits available on existing double-sided stone lines. Here's a look at what new DMT stones we are offering.
10" DuoSharp Medium Extra-Fine/Extra Extra-Fine
With the DMT 10" DuoSharp Medium Extra-Fine/Extra Extra-Fine Stones, 4000 and 8000 grit are available in the 10" DuoSharp format for the first time.
If you've been looking for extremely fine honing grits in a large diamond stone, look no further. The DMT 10" DuoSharp Medium Extra-Fine/Extra Extra-Fine has 40 square inches of 4000 grit Medium Extra-Fine, and another 40 square inches of 8000 grit Extra Extra-Fine on the other side. We have no other stones this big this fine. There's plenty of room for even the largest knives and tools.
DMT 8" Double-Sided Dia-Sharp Medium Extra Fine & Extra Extra Fine
The DMT 8" Double-Sided Dia-Sharp Medium Extra Fine & Extra Extra Fine Stone combines the 4000 and 8000 grits on an 8" Dia-Sharp.
The 8" x 3" Dia-Sharp stones are a go to for knife and tool sharpeners. DMT 8" Double-Sided Dia-Sharp Medium Extra Fine & Extra Extra Fine has both of the finest diamond grits together on this ever popular 8" continuous surface stone for the first time.
DMT Double-Sided 8" Dia-Sharp Diamond Stone
With the Double-Sided 8" Dia-Sharp Stones, the 8" Dia-Sharp line is being offered in a double-sided format for the first time.
DMT didn't stop at putting the two finest grits onto one 8" Dia-Sharp. The Double-Sided 8" Dia-Sharp Stones have Extra-Coarse, Coarse, Fine and Extra-Fine in various combinations of two grits on one stone. If the Double-Sided Medium Extra-Fine / Extra Extra-Fine combination makes the 8" Dia-Sharp line more impressive, these double-sided stones definitely continue the trend.
DMT 8" DuoSharp Plus Medium Extra Fine/Extra Extra Fine
The 8" DuoSharp Plus Medium Extra Fine/Extra Extra Fine offers the 4000 and 8000 grits for the first time in this line of stones.
The 8" DuoSharp Plus line of stones are a great cost effective choice for diamond stones. At 8" x 2 5/8" the surface area of the stones is large enough to handle most knives and tools, and the double-sided interrupted surface provides two grits on each stone while keeping the weight and the price down. Now the 8" DuoSharp Plus Medium Extra Fine/Extra Extra Fine brings the 4000 and 8000 grits to this line for the first time.
DMT Double-Sided 10" Dia-Sharp Diamond Stone
The Double-Sided 10" Dia-Sharp Diamond Stone stones bring a double-sided option to 10" Dia-Sharp stones for the first time.
The Double-Sided 10" Dia-Sharp Diamond Stone line marks two firsts. 10" x 4" Continuous surface stones are offered as double-sided with two grits on each stone for the first time, and the 220 grit Extra-Coarse grit is available in a 10" x 4" continuous surface stone for the first time.
These 10" x 4" stones have two sides of 40 square inches each. They are the largest continuous grit surface stones DMT offers.
DMT Double-Sided 11 1/2" Dia-Sharp Diamond Stone
The introduction of the Double-Sided 11 1/2" Dia-Sharp stones marks the first time the 11 1/2" Dia-Sharp line is available in a double-sided format.
The 11 1/2" x 2 1/2" Dia-Sharp stones are fantastic for taking long, smooth strokes while sharpening any knife or tool. Even large knives are welcome, and honing guides for chisels and plane blades work beautifully with this line. Now the Double-Sided 11 1/2" Dia-Sharp brings a two grit on one stone option to this line of continuous grit stones.
