The Edge-On-Up Sharpness Testers allow you to measure and quantify the sharpness of any given edge. It works by measuring the force required to cut through a standardized, calibrated medium. The result is a number (sometimes called a BESS score) that can be used to compare the sharpness of edges. The Edge-On-Up uses BESS-certified test media.
