Get the value of the Tormek bundles, now with the T4!
This bundle includes the Tormek T4 and the HTK-906 Hand Tool Kit. The Tormek T4 is a smaller, less expensive alternative to the T8, but still a quality Tormek product. The Hand Tool Kit is for just about anything that is broadly considered a hand tool, including the jigs you'll need to sharpen knives, scissors, carving tools and axes.
Tormek has many imitators, but for those that understand the quality and versatility of this sharpener, there is no substitute. This sharpener has quality built into the design and a 7 year manufacturer’s warranty shows the long term commitment to quality. The T4 may be the smaller cousin of the T8, but we are under no illusions that this is an inexpensive sharpener, owning a Tormek is a long term commitment to sharp tools and knives.
The key word when sharpening the Tormek way is repeatability. The tools are guided in jigs and you remove only a minute fraction of the steel at each sharpening which makes it fast. An extra benefit is that your tools last longer. You can shape the tool exactly to your needs. Even such complicated shapes as fingernail turning gouges, spoon carving gouges and oval skew chisels with radiused edges are easily sharpened. Once the shape is created, you can resharpen in less than a minute.
The water cooled slow speed grindstone is in harmony with the physical laws governing the steel tool -- the edge does not overheat and lose its hardness. You finish the sharpening process on the leather honing wheel, which lets you polish the edge to a razor sharpness. In addition, there is no grinding dust to pollute the air. The steel particles are deposited into the water trough. The Tormek method is safe. At the low speed, you can fully control the sharpening.
Buying a Tormek is a safe investment in quality and performance. Made in Sweden.
This motor is designed to work on 120V, we do not offer any 220V models and are unable to ship electric sharpeners outside the USA.
