Guided Operation

The key word when sharpening the Tormek way is repeatability. The tools are guided in jigs and you remove only a minute fraction of the steel at each sharpening ensuring that your tools last longer. You can shape the tool exactly to your needs. 

Runs Smooth and Silent

The water cooled slow speed grindstone is in harmony with the physical laws governing the steel tool.  The edge does not overheat and lose its hardness. You finish the sharpening process on the leather honing wheel, which lets you polish the edge to a razor sharpness. In addition, there is no grinding dust to pollute the air. The steel particles are deposited into the water trough. The Tormek method is safe. At the low speed, you can fully control the sharpening.

SG-250 Original Grindstone

 The SG-250 Original Grindstone differs from conventional grindstones in more ways than one. The unique composition of the stone, together with the SP-650 Stone Grader, gives you a wide range of sharpening characteristics in a single stone. The stone grader adjusts the surface of the grindstone from 220 grit, to a surface as fine as the equivalent of 1000 grit. This is a great advantage, because you can do the fine sharpening using the same jig setting as when you first shaped the tool. The SG-250 Original Grindstone is the perfect choice if you want both efficient sharpening and a fine surface finish from a single stone. It works with different types of tools and steel grades, including HSS.

LA-220 Leather Honing Wheel

The LA-220 Leather Honing Wheel is always used with PA-70 Honing Compound. The leather honing wheel gently removes the burrs built up during sharpening and polishes your bevel for the sharpest and most edge retaining results. It's also used for routine maintenance to quickly regain sharpness when you don't need to establish a new bevel.

Square Edge Jig

The SE-77 Square Edge Jig makes it easy to set your chisels and plane irons for straight 90° sharpening. The design of the jig paves the way for successful sharpening with outstanding precision. You can also set the jig to sharpen a slightly rounded shape on the edge.

This motor is designed to work on 120V, we do not offer any 220V models and are unable to ship electric sharpeners outside the USA.
