New KJ-140 Long Knife Jig from Tormek! New features including self centering jaws and secondary guide stop!

Sharpen Long, Flexible Knives on the Tormek

The KJ-140 Wide Centering Knife Jig is designed to hold long, flexible blades for sharpening on a Tormek T-8 or T-4, including household knives, chef's knives, craft knives and knives for hunting or fishing.

Sharpen knives with blades at least 160 mm (6 1/4") long and and 12 mm (8/16") tall. For shorter knives use the KJ-45 Centering Knife Jig.

Centers Blade for Symmetrical Bevels

To ensure that the bevels on either side of a knife blade are sharpened evenly, your knife has to be centered in the jig. Tormek's KJ-140 Centering Knife Jig uses two symmetrically moving jaws to achieve perfect centering for blades up to 10mm thick. There is no need to worry about resetting the angle when switching sides of the blade, you get optimal symmetrical results every time.

Centers Tapered Knives Too

The Centering Knife Jig jaws conform to tapered blades as well. If you are sharpening knives that taper from the spine to the edge, with a maximum spine thickness of 6mm, they will be securely held and well centered.

Extra Stop for Tall Knives

The KJ-140 has two guide bar stops. The standard stop provides the usual stable base for sharpening most knives. An extra stop is located closer to the jaws. By employing this stop, the jig can accommodate tall knives like cleavers. When used with the US-430 Extended Universal Support, this opens up a large range of taller knives.

Create Convex Bevels

If you prefer a convex bevel, the KJ-140 has you covered. You can create convex bevels by sliding the jig up and down between the two stops as you sharpen.

Well Balanced and Smooth Sliding

The KJ-140 is made with zinc-cast clamps and a durable composite handle. The composite material saves weight and slides smoothly along the Universal Support Bar. The zinc jaws balance the weight close to the grinding wheel which makes for easier control.

Jig only, machine sold separately.

Made in Sweden.

Q. Is this jig compatible with any model Tormek Low RPM Wet Grinder?
