Your Tormek just got even more amazing. Tormek has always made the most versatile, reliable and precise sharpener around, but they didn't offer diamond wheels. Until now.
Sharpen anything, never worry about dishing or cupping, and even achieve flat bevels with the new diamond wheels from Tormek.
The DC-250 wheel is a coarse 360 grit. This wheel is perfect for fast material removal when reshaping, or for repairing a very dull or damaged edge.
For those times when a finer abrasive is called for, the DF250 Fine 600 Grit Wheel and the DE250 Extra Fine 1200 Grit Wheel are also available.
Diamonds are the hardest abrasive available, and with them it is possible to sharpen not only steel, but ceramic and carbide as well. Now, sharpen even more with your Tormek.
The Tormek diamond wheels have abrasive on the side of the wheel too. When used in conjunction with the MB100 Multi Base, this flat face can be used with 10 different Tormek jigs for sharpening. If you need a flat bevel instead of the slight concave surface that edge-of-wheel sharpening gives, it is now possible to achieve it on a Tormek.
For the best results, Tormek recommends using water when sharpening with their diamond wheels. And included with each diamond wheel is a 150ml bottle of TOR-ACC150 Anti Corrosion Concentrate. Mix 10ml of concentrate per 250ml of water in the trough for non-corrosive, water cooled sharpening.
The DC250 Diamond Stone is sized for the Tormek T8, Tormek T7 and 2000 models and measures 10" in diameter and 2" wide. For metric folks, that is 250MM x 50MM.
Q. Can I use the diamond stones for my T4?
A. No. The Diamond stones fit only the models that take 10" diameter stones, and will not work with the smaller T4 or T3 models.
