    • Easy Knife Sharpening

    The Spyderco Gauntlet Select Knife Sharpener is easy to use. With it, anyone can create sharp edges without electricity, oil, water, complicated clamps or fixtures. Hold your knife vertically and draw it against the sharpening rods. Specially designed holes hold the rods at a 20 degrees per side angle, so there's no guesswork.

    Safe, Stable and Comfortable

    The base of the Spyderco Gauntlet has an integral handguard for safety and comfort. One hand holds the sharpener, protected from the blade, and the other moves the knife. The molded hand grip and wide base make for a stable sharpening experience.

    Versatility

    The  Spyderco Gauntlet has star-shaped holes holding the oval-shaped rods. These allow the rods to be turned to expose fresh abrasive surfaces or to orient the edges of the rods for sharpening serrated edges. 

    Coarse and Fine Rods

    The Spyderco Gauntlet Premium Sharpener includes the fine ceramic rods found in the Spyderco Gauntlet Select Sharpener, but also includes a pair of coarse CBN rods, adding to its versatility. CBN, or cubic boron nitride, is the mineral next in hardness to diamond and it is a fast-cutting, hard-wearing abrasive that's perfect when you need to change a profile or reestablish an edge.
