Molded Boat Rubs
The unique shape of the boat rubs allows them to easily fit into your hands. They are popular for the initial removal of large die seams and for breaking down sharp edges on machined parts. The silicon carbide rubs are available in 80, 60 or 36 grits. The 80 grit is green silicon carbide which is slightly less aggressive than the black silicon carbide in the 36 and 60 grits.
Silicon Carbide
Silicon carbide is ideal for fast material removal. Its abrasive nature makes it perfect for quickly performing operations like coarse sharpening, shaping, leveling, or removing burrs after machining. Silicon carbide is relatively fast cutting compared to aluminum oxide files, and are often employed when speed is important.
