Maintain Finely Honed Edges with the Silk Cut Steel
The Silk Cut Steel has a fine grind which hones to a polished edge. The Silk Cut is less abrasive than the Sheffield Made Trade Cut Steel, and is suitable for situations when a more refined, finer slicing edge is required. For best results, the Silk Cut Steel should be used lightly and often to maintain knives in the best cutting condition.

Put Sheffield Quality in Your Kitchen
Enhance your kitchen with a quality Silk Cut Steel. They are made in Sheffield, England, a city long renowned for steel production, by the cutlery manufacturer Taylor's Eye Witness, the company behind the well known Chantry Knife Sharpeners.
This is a Fine Steel. It will work well to maintain a fine slicing edge on a slightly dull knife, but will not be an efficient choice to take a damaged knife back to a cutting edge. Fine Steels are used in situations where a more refined, less toothy edge is required for finer slicing. They can be used alone or after a Standard Steel to continue the sharpening process.
