The 6000 Grit Naniwa Basic Stone is a finishing stone. 6000 grit is a popular final stone for knife sharpening that leaves an sharp edge with just a hint of toothiness for excellent cutting.
Pairs with Naniwa Basic Multi Stones
The 6000 Grit Basic Stone is the same type as the Naniwa Basic Multi Stones, but has only a single grit and is half the thickness. This fine grit stone works nicely as a finishing stone in a kit with the Basic Multi Stones.
Soaking Stone
Like other traditional style water stones, the Naniwa Basic Stone should be saturated with water when used, we recommend soaking the stones in water prior to use.
The Basic Stone is 7 ¼ x 2 ½ x 1/2" (185mm x 65mm x 15mm). They can be stored and used with the PTC-03 7 1/4" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/8" Naniwa Stone Storage Box and Stand.
