The MAG-8200BM is a versatile sharpener that works with both standard and mulching blades. It comes with both a flat work table to be used with the 2" x 24" abrasive belt for standard mower blades, and a modular work table to be used with a 1/2" wide grinding wheel for curved mulching blades.
Abrasive Belt Grinder for Lawn Mower Blades
The Magna-Matic MAG-8200B Professional Lawn Mower Blade Sharpener uses a 2" x 24" abrasive belt to sharpen lawn mower blades. This is the first belt grinder that has been specifically designed for sharpening lawn mower blades.
It is easy to maintain any degree edge on any length blade, right or left-handed. A commercial mower blade can be sharpened in 1-2 minutes.
2" Wide Belt for Greater Surface Contact
The MAG-8200B features a 2" wide abrasive belt, which is a great advantage to sharpen faster by having a greater surface area contacting the blade edge. The 2" wide belt additionally makes it easier to stay on the tip of the blade which makes it easier to really grind a nice square tip on the lawn mower blade.
Grinds in an Upward Direction
One of the primary differences between between the Magna-Matic MAG-8200 grinders and other belt grinders is that the MAG-8200s grind in an upward direction on the cutting edge. This direction is safer because by not pulling the blade into the machine, it eliminates a dangerous pinch point. The upward grinding action also pushes the heat away from the thinnest part of the blade where there is less material to absorb the heat.
Enclosed For Safety
The enclosed nature of Magna-Matic Sharpeners ensures there's no uncontrolled stream of sparks. All Magna-Matic sharpeners have complete a enclosure for the abrasive, directing all sparks into a large grit guard.
Flat Work Table for Conventional Blades
The Magna-Matic MAG-8200B sharpens conventional or mulching lawn mower blades on a modular work table. For Sharpening Flat Standard Blades only, the Magna-Matic MAG-8200B comes with the flat table.

Connect it to a Dust Collector
The 8200 series sharpeners have completely enclosed abrasives, and all sparks are controlled. They can also be connected to the MAG-200-4H Dust Collector. You will need the MAG-8200-077 Grit Guard with 4" Dust Collection Port in order to make the connection.
