The Dick 12" Standard Cut, Oval Profile Steel is designed for general purpose steeling of knives. The oval profile ensure maximum contact with the blade, the 12" length will handle almost any knife and the Standard Cut is aggressive enough to restore an edge, and fine enough to leave it in good cutting shape. Perfect for using to maintain working edges on knives, or for use as a preliminary steel before finishing with an Ultra Fine, Sapphire or Polished steel to obtain the finest cutting edges.
