Magnetize the Blade Table for Stability

Using the Apex Retractable Magnet to magnetize the blade table, allows you to focus on sharpening, rather than holding the blade steady. All sharpeners will appreciate the stability, but beginners learning to use the Edge Pro will find this particularly helpful.

With knives coming in such a variety of sizes and shapes, there will be some cases where you won't need the blade table to be magnetized. With that in mind, the magnet is retractable. Simply pull the knob down when you don't want the blade table magnetized, and push the knob back up when you do.

Installation on new Apex Models is simple. The magnet housing press fits tightly under the table, no tools needed. For older models it may be necessary to replace the leg screws to make room for the magnet. Replacement screws are provided with the Retractable Magnet for this purpose.

Note: The Apex Retractable Magnet works only with the Edge Pro Apex Model and does NOT fit the Professional Model.
