This extra-large DMT® Ceramic Steel is nearly 17" in total length. The steel itself is 12" and the handle with guard is almost 5". With light strokes, the Ceramic Steel can align your knife edge. Unlike traditional steels, the DMT Ceramic Steel also contains very fine abrasives that will hone your knife in addition re-aligning the blade.
