Dick's premium Dickoron line, the Dick Polish is an impressive steel that combines maximum usefulness with good looks. The oval shape provides maximum contact with the blade for fast results. The polished steel has no abrasion. It smooths and straightens the edge. This steel is meant to be used lightly and often, while working, before you notice any loss of cutting ability in your knife.

This is a Polished Steel. It will work well to maintain a fine slicing edge on a slightly dull knife, but will not be an efficient choice to take a damaged knife back to a cutting edge. Polished Steels are used in situations where a more refined, smooth slicing edge is required. They can be used alone or after a Fine Steel to continue the sharpening process.
