Lightweight
The Wicked Edge Carbon has an injection molded, glass-filled nylon base. This construction method makes for an exceptional lightweight yet sturdy base that can be used anywhere. The base is easily clamped to a work surface, or can be screwed in place more permanently using the pre-drill holes.
Two-Part Clamp Jaws
The Wicked Edge Carbon features a new clamp design with two independent jaws. This split jaw increases the flexibility of the clamp and allows for secure holding of a wider variety of knife shapes.
Depth Stops
The Wicked Edge Carbon also comes with three depth stops of different sizes. These clever rubber stops sit in between the clamp jaws, resting on the tightening screws. They govern how far into the jaws your knife sits. The Carbon is calibrated for the correct angles when your knife projects 5/8" beyond the end of the clamp jaws. Use the depth stop that gets you as close to 5/8" projection as possible for the most precise results.
