This update of the Lansky TurnBox Crock Stick Knife Sharpener now includes finger grooves on the sides for a better grip, and a leather strop on the surface for fine finishing and maintenance of knives.
Four Ceramic Rods
The Lansky TurnBox Crock Stick comes with 4 ceramic rods: two gray medium rods for more aggressive material removal and edge creation, and two white fine rods for refining the edge. Each rod is 5" long.
Two Angle Positions
The TurnBox offers the flexibility of two different angle positions for the rods, 20° and 25°. Choose your angle and insert the rods in the appropriate holes. They will form a V shape. Hold your knife blade vertically and pull it down the rods to sharpen at the correct angle.
Strop and Compound
A leather strop is affixed to the top of the TurnBox, and a stick of green honing compound is included. Rub the compound on the strop to create a very fine polishing surface to finish and maintain razor edges.
Finger Grooved Sides
The body of the TurnBox now has finger grooves on the sides. These grooves provide a safe and secure grip for perfect control when sharpening.
In-Base Rod Storage
The TurnBox gets its name from the turning end cover. underneath the cover are convenient storage holes to keep the ceramic rods safe and secure when not in use.
Replacement Rods Available
We carry replacement rods for the Lansky TunBox. Medium and Fine Ceramic Rods are available, as well as coarser Diamond Rods.
