This kit features two of the 10" DMT DuoSharp Diamond Stones, packaged with the DMT Universal Sharpening Stone Base. 

The four grits on two double-sided stones offer a wide range of options from material-removing Extra Coarse to finishing Extra-Fine.

These 10" x 4" stones allow you to take long strokes on your stone, making for fast, efficient sharpening. The generous size also allows you to sharpen large items, like plane irons and chef's knives with ease.

The Universal Sharpening Stone Base holds the stones securely while you sharpen.

The Kit Contains:

• 10" Coarse/Extra Coarse DMT DuoSharp Diamond Stone - The 220 mesh (60 microns) Extra-Coarse grit will quickly put an edge on even a very dull knife or tool. The 325 mesh (45 micron) Coarse grit is used after the extra coarse or when your edge is only moderately dull.
• 10" Extra Fine/Fine DMT DuoSharp Diamond Stone - The 600 mesh (25 micron) Fine grit refines after the Coarse grit. The 1200 mesh (9 micron) Extra-Fine grit is ideal for finishing your edge.
• The DMT Universal Sharpening Base will hold either of your 10" DMT DuoSharp Stones while you sharpen. With the included adapters, it will also hold any other DMT Whetstones, DuoSharp Stones, or Dia-Sharp Stones. Additionally, this versatile stone holder will hold many other brand sharpening stones between 4"-12". 

Bigger Stones = More Sharpening Area

The stones in this kit measure 10" x 4". That's four sides which are each 40 square inches (10" x 4"). That's 160 square inches of surface area! The extra size makes sharpening easier and faster. And of course more area means they are big enough to handle just about any sharpening job you might throw at them.

Sharpen Anything, Large or Small

We recommend the 10" DMT® DuoSharp® for just about any sharpening need. From the smallest knives to the largest tools, this set of stones can sharpen just about anything. You can always sharpen a small knife on a big stone, but sharpening a big knife on a small stone is time consuming and frustrating. When you’re working with larger tools like a plane iron for an old No. 7 Stanley Jointer Plane, you know that a puny stone can’t get the job done. These extra-large stones will do the job with ease.

I’m very proud to offer this kit at such a great price. While I understand that this kit is still a lot of money, I really believe that it is a great sharpening value. I’ve been using my 10" DMT DuoSharp Stones for many years and I expect these to be a favorite for many years to come. When sharpening a tool or knife, you can never have a stone that is too big (unless portable is something you need). A. The 10" DuoSharp Stones and the 10" Dia-Sharp Stones are both 10" x 4", making it a tie for the biggest bench stones we offer.
