Ceramic Steels

Ceramic Steels are ceramic rods with a handle. They sharpen by abrasive action of the surface of the ceramic material. They are typically in the fine range, and are used for finishing and maintenance of sharp edges as opposed to repair of dull or damaged edges. They are often used at kitchen or food prep work stations for on-the-spot touch-ups of knives that need to maintain a high level of sharpness.
