The Naniwa Lobster line of stones is Naniwa’s most budget friendly full-sized option. In this set, you're getting all 3 of the stones in the series, the 220, 1000 and the 3000. This matched set is a perfect set for anyone starting out.

Like traditional water stones, we recommend soaking the stones in water prior to use. Being a traditional water stone, these stones sharpen quickly.

Naniwa Lobster stones are full-sized stones unlike other economical options. They measure 8 1/4" long, 2 1/2" wide. The 220 and 1000 are just over and 1" thick. The 3000 is just over 3/4" thick.

Made in Vietnam.

Q. Do I need to soak all of the stones in water before use?

A. Yes, all of the stones will benefit from soaking in water prior to use. The 120 and 1000 will need more water while the 3000 doesn't require much soaking before hand. We do not recommend that you store them long term in water, only soak them before use.

Received my Sharpening System today,(Norton IM83) and I've got to tell you that I am excited about using this product. I've been in the meat cutting business for 45 years, and as you can imagine, I've used allot of different types and styles of sharpening equipment. I have had 3 Norton Multi-Oil Stone units in my lifetime, and then I see this IM83 and I think that this is what I need to carry with me when and wherever I go. I just LOVE this little box full of expertise equipment to keep me sharp and at a razors edge. Thank you for the service, it was fast and easy, and I received it within 3 days of ordering. I know knives and how they work, and I can't wait to start putting that edge on my "other" knives I own.
