Set of 11 Angle Guides works with any sharpening stone. Get the right angle every time.
The most common difficulty that knife sharpeners have is keeping the knife at the proper angle when sharpening. The 11 Angle Guides in this set solve that problem.
Easy to Use
Choose the guide that matches the bevel angle of your knife. The set includes 11 guides from 10 degrees to 20 degrees in 1 degree increments.
Place the Angle Guide at one end of your sharpening stone. Loop one of included rubber bands around the stone and fit it into the groove on the Angle Guide to hold the Guide in place.
Rest your knife against the guide. This gives you the proper starting position. Then, using a smooth motion with light pressure, slide the knife the length of the stone while pulling the knife from the heel to the tip of the blade. at the end of the stroke, lift your knife off the stone, bring it back to rest on the Angle Guide, and repeat. When you finish with one grit stone, move the Angle Guide to the next finer stone and continue.
Q. Does the Angle Guide move with the knife?
A. No. The angle guide stays in place at one end of the stone. The guide provides a reference for the proper starting position of your knife.
