Fine Aluminum Oxide Powder
Unlike most honing compounds that come in a waxy paste or stick form, this .5 micron grit aluminum oxide powder is just sprinkled on the strop. Just like the other honing compounds, it is used to produce an extremely sharp polished edge. The powder was designed to work specifically with the Large Synthetic Strop or the Small Synthetic Strop but can work on leather stops as well. A very small amount is all that is required, so the 1 ounce container is enough compound for many sharpening sessions.
