This kit combines two of our favorite double-sided diamond sharpening stones. The DMT Double-Sided 8" Coarse/Extra-Coarse and the 8" Extra-Fine/Fine Dia-Sharp stones. Offering all the speed, precision and reliability of DMT diamond stones, these four grits on two stones have everything you need to make your sharpening efficient and enjoyable.
Four Diamond Grits on Two Stones
The DMT Double-Sided 8" Dia-Sharp Kit packages four of the most useful diamond abrasive grits on two stones (that's two grits on each stone). It's such a useful range of grits, it may be the only kit you need.
The grits are:

220 Grit Extra Coarse - For initial edge shaping or flattening chisel and plane blade backs.

325 Grit Coarse - For creating a good apex on any dull edge.

600 Grit Fine - For refining well-shaped edges.

A. Yes. Even though they lack the color coding, the grits are the same on the continuous surface Dia-Sharp stones as on the interrupted surface DuoSharp stones.
