The coarse side of the Stone Grader will remove old worn abrasives and expose fresh news ones, helping your Original Grindstone or Blackstone Silicon grindstone to grind faster.

The fine side of the Stone Grader can be used to make the above grindstones grind slower to achieve a finer surface. The fine side is also the only side you should use with the Japanese Waterstone.
