This 4" round aluminum oxide sharpening stone has both coarse and fine abrasives. The coarse side of this combination India stone is used to sharpen dull edges quickly. The fine side is used to restore slightly dulled cutting edges and enhance the finish left by coarse side. 4" in diameter by 1" thick.

This stone is similar to, but a bit harder and finer grit than, the Norton 4 x 1 Round Combination Crystolon Stone.

Q. What are the grits of the Fine, Medium and Coarse in the Norton India stones?

Received my Sharpening System today,(Norton IM83) and I've got to tell you that I am excited about using this product. I've been in the meat cutting business for 45 years, and as you can imagine, I've used allot of different types and styles of sharpening equipment. I have had 3 Norton Multi-Oil Stone units in my lifetime, and then I see this IM83 and I think that this is what I need to carry with me when and wherever I go.
