The Arkansas Stones in this Tri-Stone System provides a finer edge to tools and knives.
The 3 Stone Norton IM200 System features two 8" x 2" oil stones and a Soft Arkansas Stone. The first stone is the fast cutting, Medium Crystolon stone. The second stone is the Fine grit India stone. The final honing is handled by the Norton Soft Arkansas Stone. The sharpening system holds the stones in the heavy-duty plastic base unit. The base unit holds the oil in the reservoir. The oil reservoir keep the stones that are not being used in the oil. Kit includes a Norton angle guide wedge and 4.5 ounces of quality Norton honing oil.

Q. The standard Norton IM200 comes with a fine India stone. Is the Soft Arkansas finer or coarser than the fine India?
A. The Soft Arkansas stone is more fine than the fine India. The fine India is the finest of the oil stones but it is still more coarse than the Arkansas.
