The 3 Stone Norton IM200 System features 8" x 2" oil stones. The first stone is the fast cutting, coarse, Crystolon stone. The second stone is the medium grit, Crystolon stone. The fine India stone, provides the final honing. The sharpening system holds the stones in the heavy-duty plastic base unit. The base unit, holds the oil in the reservoir. The oil reservoir keeps the stones that are not being used, in the oil. Kit includes a Norton angle guide wedge and 4.5 ounces of quality Norton honing oil.
While other companies have tried to knock off the Norton 3 Stone Systems, the Norton version is still the standard by which all others are measured.

Q. My friend has a 3 stone system that he's had for many years. I'd like to get the same thing, has the Norton IM200 system been made for a while?
A. Norton has been making 3 stone systems for decades. We often have customers call us and tell us about their system that has been in their butcher shop, grandfather's garage or restaurant for as long as they can remember. If you've looking for a 3 stone system, Norton makes the IM200 and the Norton IM313, the larger system with 11 1/2" stones.
Q. What are the grits of the Coarse, Medium and Fine stones on the IM-200 System?
A. The Coarse Crystolon is a 120 grit, the Medium Crystolon is a 200 grit and the Fine India is a 400 grit. If you want something finer, may we suggest adding an Arkansas Replacement Stone or getting the Norton IM200S with the Arkansas Stone.
