Stabilize and Securely Mount any Sharpening Stone
The anodized aluminum Universal Backing Plates from Nano-Hone can be used as a mounting plate for any sharpening stone. These sturdy plates will protect a stone from cracking and impact. They will also stabilize a stone, allowing it to be used down to a paper thin layer. They also allow users to use any stone of any type with the Nano-Hone Stone Stage for a secure base.
Adhesive Included
Each Backing Plate comes with a sheet of high bond adhesive for mounting sharpening stones.
Color Coded Base Plates
Each anodized Aluminum Base Plate does more than simply provide stability. The Base Plates are clearly labeled and color-coded, making it easy to identify your stones.
The colors are:

Part of the Nano-Hone System
The Nano-Hone Universal Backing Plates are designed to work with the Nano-Hone Stone Stage. Each stone's Aluminum Base Plate has two holes which fit on to pins on the massive Stone Stage stone holder for a stable sharpening experience.

To get even more from the Nano-Hone sharpening experience, put your Nano-Hone Stone Stage in the Nano-Hone Sharpening Pond to keep the water contained.

The Nano-Hone Universal Backing Plates measure 210 mm x 75 mm (8" x 2 7/8"), and are 6mm (1/4") thick to provide a stable backing for any sharpening stone.
