A Pond Worthy of the Nano-Hone Stones
The Nano-Hone Three Stage Sol Sharpening Pond is designed to work with the Nano-Hone Water Stones or Nano-Hone Diamond Resin Plates in conjunction with the Nano-Hone Stone Stage both of which are sold separately. Three posts project from the base of the Pond. Each post is designed to fit into a corresponding hole in the bottom of the Stone Stage. When the Stone Stage is placed on the post, it is in a secure position and will not move. Work with up to three Stone Stages at one time!
Solid Surface and Water Containment
The Nano-Hone Pond is machined out of solid aluminum to provide a durable, solid base for your sharpening. A 1/2" lip around the edge is tall enough to contain water, but low enough to allow easy access the stone. A threaded insert can be removed to drain any water.
The Three Stage Sol Pond measures 12" x 20" x 3/4".
Q. What are the sizes of the various Nano-Hone Ponds?
A. The NP-12 Moon pond is 12" in diameter and has a single post to engage with one Nano-Hone Stone Stage.
The NP-15 Terra or "Earth" pond is 12" x 14 7/8" x 3/4" and has two posts to engage with two Nano-Hone Stone Stages.
The NP-20 Sol or "Sun" pond is 12" x 20" x 3/4" and has three posts to engage with three Nano-Hone Stone Stages.
Q. Can the Nano-Hone Ponds be used with any sharpening stone?
A. Yes if the stone is mounted to a Nano-Hone Universal Stone Backing Plate it can be held on a Nano-Hone Stone Stage which can in turn then be used on the pond.
