Two Grits One Stone

Combination stones are a good way to get as much value as possible in a stone. By combining two grits on one stone, you get the practicality of a wider range of grits in a single package. The Naniwa Multi Stone Combination Stones are a great example of this budget friendly format. With them, you get Naniwa quality in an inexpensive stone. Whether you are just setting up your stone collection, or are looking to add some grit options, these are a great way to get a wide range of grits.

Soaking Stones

Like other traditional style water stones, the Naniwa Multi Stones should be saturated with water when used, we recommend soaking the stones in water prior to use.

The combination Multi Stones are 7 ¼ x 2 ½ x 1" (185mm x 65mm x 30mm). They can be stored and used with the PTC-03 7 1/4" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/8" Naniwa Stone Storage Box and Stand.

Q. Do I need to soak the stones in water before use?

A. Yes, all of the stones will benefit from soaking in water prior to use. We do not recommend that you store them long term in water, only soak them before use.

Thanks John, I am so glad to be working with people who know their products and how to use them. You have a very informative and well laid out website and I learned a lot. It was a rainy Sunday and I watched every video and read through each article. The information you provided was very helpful in teaching technique and helping me decide what to buy. Also your products are so well thought out, that no matter what stone you prefer (oil, water or diamond), there is a nice package available for a beginner. All of the products you put together each had their own advantages and believe me, each one spent some time in the shopping cart until I made my final decision.
