Kool Grind is wax lubricant used when grinding saw chain. Applying a small amount to the spinning grinding wheel helps prevent burning or overheating of the cutter during heavier than normal grinding. Some people prefer to grind cutters very hard. This can cause browning or discolored cutters that appear to be overheated. Using this lubricant can minimize discoloring and leave a clean metal finish.
