Machined Aluminum Angle Gauge makes finding your 20 degree knife sharpening angle a simple and repeatable process

Finding a 20 degree angle to sharpen your knife has never been easier. Our 20 Angle Gauge has a simple, yet functional design.

To use the gauge, just set it on one side of your stone. While holding the wedge, place your knife on the wedge to find a perfect 20 degree angle. With the angle identified, you can then sharpen your knife at a 20 degree angle.

We've over-engineered this Angle Gauge so you no longer have to fuss with trying to find a an approximate 20 degree angle by folded pieced of paper or guesswork. This gauge is designed to be the easiest and most practical way to immediately find a 20 degree angle to sharpen your knife. The machined aluminum construction won't scratch your blade because we've added a low friction UHMW film to the top. With this film in place, you can feel certain that no part of your knife will ever get scratched.

The machined aluminum construction allows for long lasting precision. The construction gives it some weight so the wedge won't easily slide off your sharpening stone. The 20 degree angle marking is is machined into the back of the gauge in large type so the angle is easily identified. The gauge is 2" wide, we've found that the extra width adds extra mass without being too larger for 2" wide stones.

Since we opened the business more than 10 years ago, one of the most common questions has been how to find a 20 degree angle. While there are a number of different ways, sometimes you just want a simple and repeatable method of finding the angle. Our machined aluminum wedge is not only useful, but it is built with quality that will last a lifetime.

This item is proudly made in the USA.

Q. Will the angle gauge scratch my knife?

A. No, all angle gauges come with a low friction UHMW film. This film allows your knife to gently slide over the gauge and won't damage even the most delicate surface finishes.

Q. Do you slide the gauge across the stone?

A. No, you use the gauge to find your 20 degree angle. The gauge stays in place.

Q. Do you offer other angles?

A. We only offer the 20 degree angle at this time. This is the most commonly requested angle. We are considering other angles for the future.
