Carving Tool Sharpening
Carving tools with small curved edges require specialized stones to sharpen. The wide variety of sizes and edges justifies the need for shaped, rather than standard flat, sharpening stones. Slip-shaped stones are great for sharpening curved blades and shaped edges. These specialized stones are able to sharpen concave and convex edges as well as straight chisels.
