At 8" long and 2 3/8" wide, it is generously sized to allow for long efficient strokes of your knives or tools. Because this stone is double sided (fine/coarse), it's both versatile and economical.

For many sharpening jobs, this kit is all you will need. The coarse side can remove nicks or sharpen very dull knives and tools. The fine side is fine enough to the final edge on most knives or can be used as an intermediate step before moving to even finer grits.
