Answer: Getting your knife razor sharp is a very common request. However, due to all of the infomercials and various outlandish claims the term razor sharp has lost meaning to many. We try not to use that term but we too slip up and use that term. If you want the finest edge possible (and that is what we assume you mean with the term razor sharp) that is only possible with extremely fine grits. The small the grit particles, the finer the edge will become. We recommend for the finest edge possible to go to a 9 or 10 on our sharpening stone grit chart. These abrasive will be able to polish the edge to a mirror like finish.
