Stropping a tool or knife is one of the least understood and least appreciated ways to perfect your blade edge. After sharpening your knife on a stone, stropping will enhance the edge quickly and easily. I like using the green honing compound because it will put a true mirror polish on your blade, and do it quickly. ~John
