Double Bevel Sharpening Booklet is written by Brian Burns, a woodworker and luthier in California. The booklet Double Bevel Sharpening describes the theory and practice of using a "double bevel" or back bevel on your jointers, planers and hand planes. While this concept my not seem new right now, when Brian Burns first described it in his booklet over 15 years ago, it was something that not everyone was aware of. He does a great job of explaining the technical details of the angles and why a back bevel will cut better. His booklet is way more than just theory, he explains how and why he started using this technique in the '70s. His writing style if very easy to follow and there are plenty of pictures and illustration to help you understand the process. This book uses his guide, angle indicator and stone box as examples. This booklet comes with the guide and angle indicator but this booklet is still useful if you choose not to use his guide. He includes instructions on how to make the guide if you're so inclined.
