The DMT Diamond Flat File works well for sharpening tools. One popular application of this file is to sharpen carbide tools that can't be sharpened with anything but a diamond abrasive.

The Diamond Flat File uses 100% monocrystalline diamond particles for fast and efficient sharpening. The length of the abrasive portion of the file is 4 1/2 inches with a total length of 9 1/2 inches. When folded it is just 5 inches. The coarse abrasive diamond particles are 45 microns which is equivalent of a 325 grit. The fine grit uses 25 micron diamond particles for a 600 grit.
